Bio: Ubu Roi is a pseudonym taken from the title of a play by Alfred Jarry, father of the "theater of the absurd." The veteran City of Houston employee who has chosen to be known as "King Turd" is a jack of all trades and master of none, holding a BA from a virtually unknown university, and having taken training in various business, legal, and technical fields. For over 15 years he has toiled away silently in the bowels of the Public Works & Engineering Department, surfacing in 2004 to create Houblog. Since then, he has been found on the side of the common person vs. the elites that try to dominate the city -- or use it for their own purpose or profit.
